I think we'll come to an agreement on a time/day once we start meeting… I started with a weekday morning based on the London model; they've had quite strong attendance from both entrepreneurs and students from what I've seen, despite the time of day. My thought was that if it was at night, you might get more “hangers-on” and fewer actual entrepreneurs. But I'm not trying to run it… I'm just trying to kick-start what's already here! Whatever is best for everyone involved is what should happen in the future.

I was planning to make a similar announcement at Enterprise Tuesday next week. I assume you've talked to Tom and the OpenBeer crowd? The timing would be an amazing coincidence otherwise. Anyway, great that OpenCoffee Cambridge is now happening.

I suggest an evening timeslot for the regular meetups; then entrepreneurial people already busy at startups or high-tech companies can come along too. I know the London OpenCoffee meets happen on Thursday mornings, but I think a weekday morning timeslot would limit its appeal to students and those just starting out.
